You don’t need all of them. Pick the ones that match your school. Page count is one of the levers that affects price — see our pricing page for examples.
A page or half-page per student — photo, name, where they're going next, in-jokes (kept kind), a quote. The most-flicked-to part of every secondary yearbook.
Group photos and a quote per tutor. Often the page parents want to keep.
Squad photos, season highlights, finals. Schools with strong sport traditions usually want a full-spread per team.
School productions, concerts, dance and drama showcases. Photos here often need brightness adjustment — flag it and we'll help.
From DofE expeditions to language exchanges. Best when laid out as a year-by-year timeline.
Short notes from heads of year, form tutors and the headteacher. Often the page that gets quoted at the leavers' assembly.
Subject prizes, sports colours, headteacher's awards. Lay these out as a recognition page rather than a leaderboard.
Big school events laid out chronologically — exam season, prom, leavers' day, the lot.
Blank pages at the back, lightly designed, for friends to sign on the last day. The pages that get filled fastest.
The single biggest reason yearbook projects fall apart is starting too late. Here’s when to do what for an end-of-summer-term delivery.
Decide format and budget. Get a sample pack. Confirm a quote. Earlier is better — production slots fill from January onwards.
Collect content. Photos from across the school. Student profiles via form. Tutor and teacher messages.
Lay out the book. Either internally, via a parent volunteer, or with our typesetting service. Catch errors at this stage, not after print.
Submit print-ready files. Approve a digital proof. We print, bind, and finish — paperbacks 7–10 working days, hardbacks 10–14, thread-sewn 14–18.
Books delivered to school in time for leavers' events, prom and the final week.
A clear, school-friendly workflow that works around term deadlines, not against them.
School type, year group, estimated quantity, page count and deadline.
Paperback, hardback or thread-sewn hardback. We'll help you pick.
Upload a print-ready PDF, or talk to us about a typesetting quote.
Approve a digital proof, then we print, bind and deliver to your school.
Thread-sewn binding is one of the strongest, most traditional bookbinding methods. Sections of pages are stitched together with thread before being bound into the casebound cover, producing a stronger book that opens flat and feels closer to a published novel than a school yearbook.
For year groups that want their leavers’ book to last decades — independent schools, sixth forms, anniversary editions — it’s our top recommendation.
Real paperback and hardback samples, printed and bound in-house, sent to your school with no commitment. Often the easiest way to make the case for a hardback upgrade to your governors.
Tell us your year group, page count and deadline. We’ll come back with the right format and an honest price within one working day.
